A Plant Freebie For You - 2 Days Left! 🌿

My sixth plant freebie to you is a printable coloring page! I think coloring feels like the perfect way to relax on a Sunday. These sunflower illustrations are featured in one of the chapters of my book, My Life in Plants, which will be here in 2 DAYS!

I printed this out on cardstock paper and colored it in with alcohol-based Copic markers (which will bleed through most paper, so make sure to put something protective under it while you color) but you could use colored pencils, colorful Sharpies, crayons, whatever you have on hand! Download the PDF here.

P.S. If you’re interested in learning more about how to use Copic markers, I did a Copic video tutorial with Posh Coloring Studio back in 2018 that you can watch online here.

My fifth plant freebie to you is a pretty plant patterned wallpaper for your desktop, tablet, and phone! It features a bunch of potted plant illustrations that you’ll find in my upcoming book My Life in Plants. You can download the desktop version here, and the mobile version for tablets and phones here.

Don’t forget, there’s still time to enter to win a free copy of My Life in Plants on Goodreads, and to get your exclusive discount on a plant order from Bloomscape!

My fourth plant freebie to you is a printable Plant Watering Tracker! You know how I recently said I’m trying to get serious about caring for all of my plants properly? Well, I’m still very forgetful and there’s no changing that! So, I created this watering tracker template to keep track of when each plant was last watered. In the past, I have been known to “kill them with kindness” by accidentally overwatering. The poor plants were never as thirsty as I thought they were.

If you’re as forgetful as I am, I’m sure you’ll find this useful too! You can print it out at home each month, or print out one copy and laminate it if you want to get real fancy. Write in the current month in the top left section, then list each plant you have in the left-most column below. Then as the month goes on, mark the day that each plant was watered.

Download the 8.5 x 11 printable here. For my international friends, you can find the A4 version here.

My third plant freebie to you is a printable 4x6 art print of a basil illustration! You’ll find a basil plant featured in my upcoming book, My Life in Plants, where I talk about how it was a reminder that it’s up to me to create my own happiness.

Download the PDF here, then print on heavy cardstock and cut out along the faint border. Then place the print in your favorite 4x6 frame!

My second plant freebie to you is a printable plant care guide so you can keep all of the important care information about your little plant friend all in one place!

I’ve started acquiring more houseplants lately, and instead of my usual “let’s see what happens” attitude, I’d like to get serious about caring for each one properly! If you’re like me, it’s quite hard to remember all of the different requirements! So, I wanted to create something to keep track of each plant’s needs and I thought you might find this useful, too!

Simply print out a copy on regular printer paper for each plant you have at home. Then fill out with the plant’s requirements and keep in a plant journal or folder if you’d like (or a binder if you’re like Leslie Knope).

Download the 8.5 x 11 printable here. For my international friends, you can find the A4 version here.

A Plant Freebie For You - 7 Days Left! 🌿

Now that we are a week away, I’m going to be offering a “plant freebie” every day here on my blog to count down the final days leading up to the release date of My Life in Plants! 🥳

My first plant freebie for you is a printable greeting card that you can print at home and send to a planty friend! 🌿 Now more than ever is a great time to reach out to and connect with the people you care about (and sending a greeting card in the mail is a great excuse to buy stamps and support the Postal Service!).

Download the greeting card here. You can simply print it out on any heavy cardstock paper, then cut out along the faint border. Fold in half, pair with a matching A7 envelope, then send it to the plant-loving friend of your choice!
